What happens in an induced labor?

0

I was induced 3 days before my due date. I arrived at the hospital at 5AM, got hooked up to the IV at 5:30. My contractions started just before 7AM, but didn’t become hard labor until about 9:30. The contractions became really intense. I don’t know if they were more intense than they would have been with natural labor as it was my first delivery, but I was having a contraction every 45 seconds lasting a minute long. So before one had ended another was starting. I ended up getting the epidural around 12:30PM and my daughter was born at 1:58PM. The last hour or so of my labor was very easy and enjoyable. I could joke with my husband and the hospital staff. I felt coherent when my daughter came into the world. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be and it definitely went faster than I thought it would. From begining to end it was about 9 hours, actual contractions was only about 7 hours. Good luck!
