What happens in the first week or two in September (i.e. where to I havedo be & when)?
The exact dates change from year to year, but the first official Departmental event is the Grad Welcome by the Grad Director in Room 517 of Watson Hall. Immediately following this, you’ll break up into groups and get a campus tour by a returning English grad. Even before this, in the first days of September or possibly even the end of August, there will be Welcome Week meet-and-greet events put on by the GES (See: “What is the Graduate English Society?”). The dates for these will be advertised in the summer.
