Marijke Peters THE CAMPAIGNER who stopped the sale of Ally Pally to a property tycoon says heads should roll over the fiasco. Local historian Jacob O’Callaghan won a high court battle last Friday to block a 125-year lease granted to millionaire Firoz Kassam. He now wants the trustees of Haringey’s most historic building to hand it over to another organisation and has demanded a meeting with the Charity Commission, which was criticised by the judge for failing to consult with local residents about Mr Kassam’s plans to turn the palace into a luxury complex. Mr O’Callaghan said: “Someone has got to take responsibility. “This case proved it was always a mistake to transfer ownership of the palace from a London-wide body to a small local council. That decision has got to be reversed. “We are looking for people who are more experienced and are actually interested in doing with the palace what was meant to be done instead of trying to turn it into a business centre. It should be reserved for
