It depends on the car and the condition of the parts/car as a whole. The car is first inventoried and then any valuable car parts might be removed, depending on if it is a broken down classic model. Most cars if not sold are compacted and crushed to recycle and minimize the space that they take up.

when any car goes to a junk yard it siting there an dpeople buy parts from it til its down to where its only a shell many times might be there for a few yrs some cases its smash right a way depending on model and year and really its been that long not likely in the computor or still on the books there but you can alway call them and ask  more
