What happens to a human being at the moment of death?

I’m sorry to hear about your dad. With hope, he’ll be OK. When my Dad died 3 years ago, death was welcome as he was old, deteriorated, and in pain. I was at his side when he died. His was unconscious (no pain!), each breath became more and more shallow, then farther apart and then he stopped breathing. That took a couple of minutes. Within minutes, his body began to cool … his skin became pale and there were small areas where the deoxygenated blood caused his skin to have blueish patches. His body became very limp. He was out of pain and that was good.
