What happens to food made on tv shows?
The food that is actually made on the shows is usually either eaten by the production crews or the shows staff from behind the scenes. If there is an audience, then sometimes they might be invited to partake. Anything is left usually gets thrown out. Some food shelters might take the non perishable items, but a lot of the ingredients on these shows are perishable and not suitable for kitchens and shelters in most cases. As for the finished product, its life is so short that it is impractical to give it away to the poor, as it will likely be cold and perhaps unsafe by the time they would get it.
