There are a lot of retired and disabled Americans who have collected social security benefits since the program was started by FDR. You will become eligible to receive social security benefits at retirement age or if you are declared disabled. The government is guardian of your retirement money and so far no one has gotten the middle finger. We need to elect good stewards of the economy to assure that the funds will be there in the future.
