What happens to Quarantined Spam and Viruses?

0

The quarantine process for Spam and Virus are different. For Spam, unsolicited emails are identified and quarantined on a separate mail server at Bee.Net. The quarantined emails are set-aside in a repository that can be accessed by the end-user via a web interface called “Mail Center”. Additionally, a user can select the Spam digest in the Mail Center to receive a daily summary of captured Spam. By using the web interface or digest, end-users can view the unsolicited email in its entirety, and then choose to delete or receive the email. Quarantined emails can be held for up to 10 days based on the desire of the ISP. For Viruses, the Service identifies and disinfects the virus-infected email being sent to a user. Upon disinfection, the Service notifies the sender and the recipient to provide the sender a notice of their computer’s possible infection and the receiver the comfort of knowing they’re protected.
