What happens when a user submits a registration?

The Office of Research Ethics receives notice that a new registration is on the system. The registration details are reviewed and if acceptable our in-house Ethics Database is aligned to match the registration. This is an important step because it is this database that provides the study data to Adverse Event Reporting Application. Once everything is in place the registration is accepted and the system generates an email to the investigator advising the User ID and password for the Adverse Events Reporting application. If the registration is not accepted, the system generates an email to the email address provided advising that the registration was not accepted and to contact ethics-sae@uwo.ca for information.
