What happens when all the stars in the universe burn out?

I don’t think that is possible since stars are constantly being remade in star nurserys. I suppose it could happen if The Big Crunch happens but other then a universe ending event, I don’t think it’s possible.

I know when our star, the Sun burns out, we will cease to exist. I can not comprehend what it would mean for all of them to burn out, but, I imagine it would not be a good thing!

One of two things: One: the universe collapses into a tiny microscopic singularity and then explode into the big bang all over again starting a new universe. In the process of this collapse, it is quite possible that all the matter in the universe begins to form new stars that ignite with a much more ferocious reaction that the stars now. Stars now convert Hydrogen into Helium. Stars of the future could convert Helium into Carbon (or even more complicated reactions) Two: It gets very dark.
