Many insurance companies use 3rd party out-of-state vendors to administer auto glass claims. These vendors will initiate your glass claims. Some will ask where you want to have the work done. Others will suggest repair shops from "THEIR LIST." Still others will attempts to persuade you to accept THEIR company to complete the repairs. Some 3rd party vendors go to great lengths to persuade you to accept them to complete the job. This is done by suggesting possible out of pocket expenses, possible warrantee problems or your shop is not on their "Preferred Vendors List." the truth is: By law, you can choose who replaces your vehicles glass. If you have a preference stand firm and tell them who you want to complete the repairs. Choose a facility that is established, one that uses OEM quality glass and adhesives.
