What has been the most rewarding part of writing Blind spot so far?

I wrote Dissolve as a catharsis for myself, with no intention of it ever being performed publicly. As I write this, I am in Portland, finishing up my 4th annual American University “frosh week” tour…So clearly I have gone public with the show, and that came with realizing the benefit of my message. However it wasn’t until I started writing Blind Spot that I started to feel like a playwright. I have found it so rewarding to write this piece, and to hear other people interpret my words. This time round, I’m not only passionate about the subject matter, but I’m enjoying writing a compelling play, and learning about the technical aspects of that creation. As we venture into rehearsals, I’m anticipating a very rewarding process. I’m thrilled to have Patrick directing Blind Spot. I know the piece is in good hands, and I’m so grateful to glean from his knowledge. It means a lot to me that he has been so willing to guide me through this process, being a fairly new playwright.
