What have been the changes in The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) relationship in the last two years?
Our relationship with TCCC has been strengthened markedly in the last two years. We are actively working together to improve system economics and an equitable sharing of profits. TCCC has publicly acknowledged that the Coke bottling system (including CCA) must make returns that meet and exceed their cost of capital. Significant progress has been made in acquisition guidelines, new product development guidelines, improved marketing efficiencies and in recent years concentrate costs have increased broadly in line with CCA’s ability to achieve wholesale price increases.
