What have you found is the best and safest way to remove the nails securing the body sheet metal skin from the wood frame ( skeleton) without distorting the skin?
I have tried to very gently pry up the sheet metal under the nail head with a putty knife just enough so that I can grab the nail head with a pair of side cutters but am afraid this method may distort the metal. A heavy scraper/putty knife will work for prying up the sheet metal and nails, but there are better tools, especially if working with sheet aluminum, or in the occasional tight spaces you may encounter.
