I don’t know why (obviously) you can’t take pills but if your period pain is that bad (and mine are horrendous, truly passing-out horrendous, I can barely converse when they’re at their worst) then you would have to take pills because although things like heat pads. B vitamins, E vitamins, potassium etc, gentle exercise (I’ve heard- I try this month after month and always give up because it’s too painful to move) help, if they’re that bad only painkillers will work. I usually take tramadol, cocodamol and mefenamic acid which you’ll need to get a prescription for. You can get a weaker form of cocodamol without a prescription and you can get naproxen or diclofenac over the counter too so these might be worth a try. Whatever you actual take, make sure you’re taking an analgesic (painkiller, so paracetamol/codeine/tramadol etc) and an anti-inflammatory (naproxen/mefenamic acid/Voltarol- also known as diclofenac) together because the analgesic will deaden the feeling of pain while the anti-
