What if a telemedicine program won start until sometime after a classroom program is given?
The time gap that occurs between learning new information and skills and applying them can have a major impact on the amount of information retained by the learner and the accuracy of that retention. The longer the time between learning and direct application the more information that is forgotten or remembered incorrectly. If there is a substantial break between formal classroom training and application, other modalities should be considered to provide opportunities for refresher training, e.g., mentoring, self-study.
