What if I accidentally bid too high – perhaps mistakenly moving the decimal point one space too many?

A. You will be prompted one time, after your initial submission, to make sure this is the amount you wish to offer. However, if you bid one decimal point too high – and it is obvious – then you must immediately notify the buyer about your bid cancellation. For example: if the current high bid is $.08/lb, and the market for good material is $.30/lb -but you have mistakenly submitted $1.00/lb instead of your planned $.10/lb, then that would be an obvious error and we expect the buyer to graciously allow you to withdraw and correct your bid. Please review your bids carefully prior to submitting them, to avoid this problem – otherwise, doing so too many times can negatively impact your rating on this site.
