If you are employed as a teacher or provide services as a teacher during any part of the training which is not part of your ITE program, you will not be eligible for the Training Bursaries payments. This is because if you teach part time you are an ‘in-service’ teacher. The DfES have made other funds available to FE Colleges to cover training and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of their in-service staff. The limited funds of this Scheme are therefore targeted at pre-service students.
