What if I am teaching an evening course or at an off-campus site and a student needs extended time for his/her test?

Instructors are required to make every effort to work with the student to find an appropriate place and time for him/her to take the test with the extra-time during the evening hours. This is due to the fact that evening students are most likely employed during the day and are therefore not available until after 4:00 or 5:00. However, if you are unable to provide the extended time for an evening student, the Center will work with the student so that they may take the exam in the Center on Disability. The student should discuss the situation with the teacher to make sure appropriate arrangements can be made. The Center on Disability recommends that students take the exam on the same day as the class. Tests can be faxed or emailed to the Center on Disability, if it is difficult for a teacher to deliver the exam in person.
