If the British won the Battle of Saratoga America might not have become a country as soon as it had or at all for all we know. The Battle of Saratoga was the turning point of the American Revolutionary War. It showed the rest of the world that America just might have had what it took to defeat the most powerful country in the world. It is what convinced France to join America’s fight against the British. French forces stopped General Cornwalis as he escaped from Yorktown, which is where the British surrender, ending the war for independence.
