What if the network fails during an assessment task session?
When pupils do an assessment task data is saved both to the local workstation and to the APS server. If the connection to the server is lost, the workstation can continue to run the task using the data it has saved locally. If the workstation fails, the task can be resumed at another workstation using the data saved to the server to ensure that the task starts again in the appropriate place.
