notable members were Paul Revere who would later go on to do the historic ride, Edwin Eugene "Buzz" Aldrin Jr. who would later be the second man on the moon and the pilot of Apollo 11. These are just a few of the people who carried notability that were part of the Freemasons. Though the group is notorious for being exclusively male populated there have been exceptions one such female being Elizabeth Aldworth who was initiated into a British speculative lodge in 1723. These are just a few of many people who have went on to hold prominent positions in society. The third group that I am going to talk about is one of three secret societies that have been located at Yale. Scroll and Key has been in existence since 1842, when it started with only 12 delegates. They have made many contributions to Yale including the John Addison Porter Prize, named after one of the founders of Scroll and Key.
