What in the hells a “Butterfly Kiss???
” Okay, since I’m not too familiar with Bob Carlisle, or his music, I had to do some research. I found his official website from searching with google. I had no idea what a “Butterfly Kiss” was, but I was going to find out if I wrote this review. So, according to Bob, here’s a informal definition: “A butterfly kiss happens when the delicate lashes of your baby’s eyes sweep across your cheek.” Ohhhhhhhhhhhh! So that’s what it is. Glad I got that cleared up, I was really wondering. Who, What? The song was written by Bob Carlisle and Randy Thomas and published in 1996. It’s on the album “Butterfly Kisses (Shades of Grace)”. He wrote the song for his daughter, Brooke, he said that it hit him late one night, that his “baby girl” had grown up and would be leaving the nest soon.
