What Indie bands are there?
Right now I’m listening to The Killers, The Flaming Lips, Cold Play, and Alanis. I have an ongoing love of new alternative and indie rock. My favorite bands and cd’s change almost daily. I find that I really get into about 3 or 4 cd’s at a time and listen to them regularly then I move on. When I’m listening to the radio here in Los Angeles I tend to listen to KROQ 106.7 FM. They style themselves as “World Famous KROQ” but I don’t know how famous they really are. There is actually a better indie station in town but I always seem to get poor signal and I just give up and end up listening to KROQ in the car. Even though I’m older I never go back and listen to the oldies. I have great affection for the music of my teen’s or 20’s but I’d certainly never go to a concert for one of those bands. The “oldest” band that I’ve seen perform in the last 10 years had to be Depeche Mode. They were big in the late 80’s. Those old bands are long past their day. I enjoy continually discovering new artist
