What is “7 Marathons on 7 Continents” all about?
The Clinic of Angels is in the midst of an adventurous, challenging and inspiring journey called 7 Marathons on 7 Continents. Jim O’Brien, an aspiring young runner residing in Chicago , announced at the end of 2007 that he would join other avid runners in a marathon series that would take him literally around the globe. To date, Jim is three marathons into this personal challenge. Jim learned about the work of the Clinic of Angels through a college friend who happened to be the son of our founder, Dr. Michael J. Cichon. He was inspired by stories of patients with highly complex illnesses finally seeing dramatic improvement with financial assistance from the Clinic of Angels.
