What is a 2D Ultrasound, 3D Ultrasound and 4D Ultrasound?
A 2D ultrasound is a standard ultrasound in black and white. A 4D ultrasound is a color ultrasound in three dimensions showing your baby’s features and movements. The fourth dimension is time, which means that your baby can be viewed in real time. You will see your baby moving, and, with a little luck, you might catch a yawn, a hiccup or even thumb sucking. A 3D ultrasound is a still image of a 4D ultrasound.
