What is a bouillon cube?
A bouillon cube is a little block of condensed soup. The most internationally known brands are probably Knorr and Maggi, but there are several more expensive brands for gourmets or vegans, and most supermarket chains have their own low cost brand. In some areas you might not be able to get vegetable bouillon cubes, but then you can probably buy chicken bouillon cubes, that will also give a very tasty soup. They contain a little chicken fat, but not enough to disturb the diet.
