Carpet bonnets are durable fiber devices that fit over the rotors specialized floor and carpet cleaning machines. Typically, a carpet bonnet is made of a fiber blend that includes cotton, rayon and possibly polyester. The result is a body that is capable of absorbing a great deal of moisture while retaining the ability to gently lift surface dirt from a bare floor or a carpet. In actual construction, a carpet bonnet may be woven into a material that is distinguished by cut ends that are similar to low shag carpet. In other instances, the design for the carpet bonnet may resemble looped carpet. There are a few examples of the carpet bonnet on the market today that make use of a design that includes both looped and cut ends in a pattern. Purportedly, this combined design makes it possible to use the carpet bonnet on any thickness of carpet. The carpet bonnet is always used along with a carpet bonnet cleaner. This electronic device resembles an upright vacuum cleaner or floor sweeper. ...  more

Carpet bonnets are devices that are made of strong fiber and are placed over the rotors of carpet and floor cleaning machines. Usually a carpet bonnet is made of fibers that are rayon, cotton and polyester. This combination of fibers is put together to absorb a lot of moisture but at the same time, made to lift surface dirt from a wood floor or a carpet floor in an efficient way.

Carpet bonnets are used with a carpet bonnet cleaner. The carpet bonnet cleaner looks a lot like a regular vacuum cleaner; however the bonnet cleaner does not have a vacuum pouch like a vacuum cleaner. This is how the machine and carpet bonnet works:

First, the bonnet is soaked in water with a cleaning solution.

Second, then the bonnet water solution is squeezed out and then put on the end of the rotor.

Third, the machine is then placed over the carpet, usually in straight lines. It is important to make

sure to overlap the line when you make a turn.

Fourth, by moving over the surface of the carpet, the carpet bonnet which is moist with the solution,

will help lift the dirt to the surface and leave behind a dry and cleaner carpet surface.

The carpet bonnet is made to work smoothly with several kinds of bonnet cleaners; however, some machines need a particular bonnet in order for a specific machine to work well. Most of the carpet bonnet products will usually clean five to seven hundred feet before needing; a second refill of water solution and then wringing out the water in a pail. If you find that the manufacturer of your carpet bonnet cleaner needs a spray cleaner in addition to the cleaning solution that is in the water, it is advised to only spray one hundred feet of carpet at a time because the spray solution may dry too quickly, before the carpet bonnet is used on the larger area.
