What is a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)?
A CNA is an individual who is charged with the duties of patient care procedures to be performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Their role includes assistance and care of patients and working with the doctors, nurses and specialists. He is trained to work in nursing homes, hospitals, personal homes and even assisted living facilities. Most importantly, he acts as a bridge between the patient and the doctor and also monitors the way a patient responds to a treatment.
