What is a Currency Code Chart?
We all constantly come across currency codes. Each time you view our currency charts, or view money data from around the world, or check the latest exchange rate before purchasing travel money you will come across currency codes. Some are easy to recognize because they are so common: USD for US dollar, GBP for Great British Pound, EUR for Euroand so on. But there are hundreds of currency codes and it can become confusing to know which is which. Here, you can easily refer to them. How are the Codes created? Currency codes are used on a global scale and usually these stem from the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) code known as ISO 4217. However, there are some which are slightly different to the ISO code and which are used in common practice on an everyday basis by money markets.
