What is a Directed Field Studies or DFS course?
The Directed Field Studies (DFS) component of the program involves a minimum of 450 hours of paid work experience per term in an industry placement either one, 6 month (900 hour) or two, 3 month (450 hour each) industry placements of paid work experience. This experiential learning component must be completed in an accounting or information technology related environment. Degree students may complete this academic requirement in their current work environment including self-employment, and are responsible for securing their industry placements.
