At a Dispositional Hearing in a Juvenile Dependency case the Court will decide on a reunification plan for the parents/guardians and decide where the minor will be placed. When you are not entitled to a preliminary hearing, you will receive a dispositional hearing. The purpose of a dispositional hearing is for your lawyer to speak to the District Attorney to see if a disposition can be reached short of trial.
