What is a document relative path in a URL reference hypertext link?
Document-relative paths are often the simplest paths to use for links to files that will always be in the same folder as the current HTML document. In a URL address used in a hypertext link a document-relative path is assumed if there is no reference to the root directory or if it does not start with the letters HTTP. The current document is used as current directory contrasted to an absolute path where the whole address is given and a root relative path where the root symbol (backslash) is given.
