What is a full-duplex sound card?
A full-duplex sound card is a sound card that allows audio to travel both directions at the same time. That is, it allows you to record audio into the computer and listen to audio coming out of the computer at the same time. Most standard desktop computers have full-duplex sound cards built into them. Lesser models of laptops will frequently not have full-duplex sound cards, so you will notice audio that is playing cutting out any time you record into it. This does not necessary prevent you from using CAN8 on your computer, but you may find certain kinds of activities difficult without the proper soundcard.
