Check out http://www.mirbit.com If you go into the ‘dragz’ section, you can upload a photo and then add stuff to it such as decorative frames, funny objects, text, etc. and then turn it into a printable greeting card, email it, or save it to your computer (which is good for making unique profile pictures for facebook, myspace, etc.) If you don’t want to use one of your own photos, go into the ‘cardz’ section and you can choose from 100’s of really cool photo-cards that you can customize with your own text and speech bubbles, and then print as traditional greeting cards or send as eCards. The site is totally free, and doesn’t force you to register or anything like that to use it. Hope that is what you were looking for!
