What is a good beginner snowboard?

First Off go to sierrasnowboard.com Check out their Youth snowboards – all ’09 gear is 30% off and you can get a really good set-up for basically what it costs to buy some cheap lamar and head stuff. You can even get “Second” boards for even cheaper – which basically means there was a graphic misprint or graphic blemish but the board rides exactly the same as a brand new board (maybe a misspelled word or the color wasn’t exactly right, etc) But Hurry up and get your gear while it’s in stock. (I’m assuming you don’t ride anything bigger than 143cm) My recommendation is getting a Burton Custom Youth board prob 140cm for you. Which is $174 right now (as a Youth board and “Second”) – there was two in stock at 140cm when I just checked a second ago. Actually I take that back – you’re a growing boy you might wanna do a size bigger that you can grow into and use for a couple years, but I think they only offer the 145W (145 wide – if you’ve got big feet for your age you might want that jam)…
