What are you looking for within a downhill bike? If you are planing to ride JUST downhill (like riding a ski lift up a mountain and riding down), then i recommend a Full suspension bike with a VERY sturdy frame, and a gear assembly that is enclose. If you plan on doing more cross country style riding (like riding up hill, then down) i recommend a little less beefy frame, and if you are looking for cheap you probably don’t need the full suspension, or the encased gear housing. I personally recommend GT, and Diamondback bikes, they have great reputations for withstanding what ever comes their way.
