What is a good job to work in Thailand?

Best job for a foreigner, in my opinion, is to work for a foreign company that has high wages! Why would any Thai company hire you at a wage higher than a Thai citizen? If the wages you can earn in your country are higher than what ordinary Thais make doing the same job then go with a company from your country doing business there. Sometimes outside companies also pay for your apartment and a food allowance too! Until then, to make yourself more marketable you should learn to read and write Thai! Some government agencies, such as your embassy or military assistance groups often have an office in foreign countries.

As Karazyal said, the best jobs are working for foreign national companies who have operations in Thailand. Among the friends I have who work here in Thailand, a couple of them are IT professionals who work for IBM, one is a software team project manager who is redesigning the software for one of the major banks, the other is in regional sales, another friend works for a French retailer and is in charge of opening new retail outlets in Asia. As someone else also posted, Thailand has a very closed and protective job market (as do most countries) and most jobs working for Thai companies are not even available to foreign workers. This is a good website to see what kind of jobs are available and the qualifications and the type of experience you’ll need, good luck: http://www.jobjob.co.
