Sadly, everyone has an opinion for this . . . you can sometimes get the spot out, but dogs will still smell the urine long after we stop smelling it. You can try the vinegar, but we still had to rip up our carpets after our puppy got neutered. Try to blot as much of the urine as you can with just a wet cloth first, then spray a little Oxy Clean (laundry product) on it and blot it with another wet rag. Keep “rinsing” the spot, that is blotting with clean wet rag to get the cleaner out so it doesnt attract more dirt once it dries. Then, you can try to put the vinegar on after that.

I second the Nature’s Miracle. Discovered it when my dog was a puppy and she had numerous accidents on the carpet. Other things like baking soda and vinegar just mask the smell. Try to pick up as much liquid as you can if it’s carpet. The best way I found is to put a paper towel on the urine, add a piece of folded newspaper, and then step on it. A lot of the liquid will be absorbed into the paper. THEN, spray with Nature’s Miracle.

Use a small scrub brush and a bucket with a small amount of laundry soap (a couple tablespoons) and about 1/2 cup of baking soda…. Scrub area…. If you have a wet/dry shop vac use it as an extractor…. Just remember to remove the paper filter inside! May take several applications…. Then get a CLEAN bucket of warm water and rinse the area once again using the shop-vac to extract the water solution… Rinse/repeat until there are no more suds….. Let area air dry…… Spray with a solution of isopropol (rubbing) alcohol mixed with water AFTER you throughly clean the area….
