Considering what you have to tolerate there and what they can afford to pay and assuming you have a good engineering degree and at least some years relevant experience, I’d say “good” certainly doesn’t even start below USD 15,000.- per month plus an annual bonus or at least a 13th month. Re transportation – if that means you get a car ask also for a driver! If you have an accident which involves a Saudi, you (as a foreigner) will automatically be guilty. It’s no fun! If you have a contract see that you have return expenses at the end and try to get some severance payment provisions for early termination by the employer – e.g. salary paid till the end or if that is less than a year away, then for another year . Early termination by yourself for reasons beyond your control might also be considered.
