What is a Guarantee (GTY or GUAR)?
A guarantee type of cabin means that you have reserved a specific cabin category, but you have not yet been assigned a specific cabin. For instance, if you reserved a guaranteed outside cabin on the upper deck, you would be guaranteed to receive an oceanview cabin on the upper deck. The advantage of a guarantee is that you may be upgraded into a better category. You will find out your exact cabin number prior to departure or at the pier on the day of the sailing, so if you are choosy about where your cabin is located we do not recommend choosing a guarantee.
