What is a Honeywell Smart Grid Photovoltaic Alternating Current (PVAC) Solar Panel?
A Honeywell Smart Grid PVAC Solar Panel is a solar panel that has an integrated Direct Current (DC)-to-AC power inverter underneath the solar panel, which converts the DC output of the solar panel into grid-compliant AC power. The Smart Grid AC solar panel has zero external DC wiring, which makes the panels much safer. Since no DC current is involved, the Smart Grid AC solar panels make it easy to design and install solar power arrays. Installers simply install the solar panels connect them to an AC branch circuit, combine the branch circuits in one combiner box, and connect the solar power array to one 15-amp circuit breaker in the main junction box.
