What is a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) session like?
Each treatment session in the chamber lasts approximately two hours, with patients breathing 100 percent oxygen at 2 to 3 times normal atmospheric pressure. The Center’s multi-person chamber accommodates up to eight patients sitting comfortably. The space is similar to what you would experience in the first-class cabin of an airplane, with room to stand and walk around. The second largest chamber in the state, it measures 8 feet in diameter and 24 feet in length and includes a bathroom. Patients enjoy personal TV monitors, napping, or reading during treatment. In addition, the Center offers single-person hyperbaric chambers, which extend the treatment options available to patients. The patient lies comfortably in this clear acrylic vessel during their treatment. Both chambers are monitored closely by certified hyperbaric physicians and technologists.
