What is a Limited Damage Waiver (LDW)?

LDW limits your responsibility for damage to the rental vehicle to a small deductible. If you don’t purchase LDW, you and/or your insurance company are responsible for damage to the vehicle. If LDW is purchased, you are responsible only for the deductible ($250 for individual renters, $1,000 for corporate customers). LDW costs $15 per day. Keep in mind that LDW does not cover damage to the upper part of the box of a truck caused by driving under something too low for the vehicle (such as a tree branch or drive-thru window).
