What is a manchurian candidate?
This was a movie from the early 1960s starring Frank Sinatra. The basic rund down is, a guy is in the Korean war and he and his platoon are captured by those worthless communist chinese scumbags and brainwashed to work for a Soviet Union/Communist China cabol in the United States. Manchuria is the region just north of Korea in China. In the movie, the ficticious character is supposed to be hypnotized to assasinate the man who will be a great threat to the communists and place a drunk stooge in his place. Angela Landsberry plays a great role as the evil mother in this movie. John McCain was not a Manchurian candidate, that is a ridiculous assertion and only and idiot would make it. A couple of years ago they did a remake with Denzel Washington only they used Desert Storm as the backdrop for the film. It is odd because, Iraq and Kuwait are nowhere near manchuria China.
