What is a memorandum entry?

0

If you have shares on a register that we do not maintain or holdings that are not in your own name (for instance if they are held by a broker on your behalf or in an ISA) you can enter the details yourself to go into your portfolio. This is called a memorandum entry because we cannot update the details automatically although we will enter an indicative price for the security. You must ensure that you keep the details on your memorandum entries up to date.
