What is a New Hampshire Commercial Aviation Operator and what are the requirements for registering?
• Registration as a Commercial Aviation Operator is required if you in any capacity engage in one or more aeronautical activities for compensation or hire within the boundaries of a registered commercial-use airport. Aeronautical activities include, but are not limited to, carriage of persons or property; flight training; instruction; construction, sale, repair, maintenance, modification, or storage of aircraft, aircraft fuel, or aircraft parts; or rendering of any other aviation services for compensation. You have 10 days from your first operation in which to register with the state. Additionally: You must obtain a certificate of authority from the New Hampshire Secretary of State to conduct business within the state. You must obtain permission from the airport management staff to operate from their airfield before conducting any operations.
