This is an x-ray that gives a comprehensive view of the entire mouth with one film. It screens for pathology in the jaws that cannot be seen with small x-rays. It also tells us where the unerupted teeth are located, their size and position and gives us important preventive orthodontic information about future expectations. This x-ray is generally taken at about the time the first permanent teeth start to erupt at age 5-7.
