What Is a Paraprofessional Teacher?
No classroom could run without a good teacher, but even less attention has been given to teachers’ silent partners–teacher’s aides, or paraprofessionals. Without the support of paraprofessionals, teachers would experience even greater difficulties in keeping students motivated, let alone run their classrooms efficiently. From the mundane to the momentous, paraprofessionals must wear a variety of hats and be prepared to work as part of a team.
