A permanent easement provides the owner of the utility, in this case the interceptor sewer, permanent access to the portion of the interceptor that crosses a parcel. This access is required for maintenance and operation of the interceptor. • What is a temporary construction easement? A temporary construction easement defines a particular area on a parcel of land that is usually adjacent to the interceptor and the permanent easement. The purpose of the temporary easement is to provide the contractor with adequate room for materials, labor, and equipment required to construct the interceptor.
